MiSeq Reagent Kits v2

Reagent kits that provide increased cluster density and read length for the MiSeq System, improving sequencing quality scores compared to v1 kits.

MiSeq Reagent Kit v3 is also available. It offers a 600-cycle format to enable long read lengths or a 150-cycle format that enables counting applications.

Overview

MiSeq Reagent Kits v2 enable more output to simplify each MiSeq run. MiSeq Reagent Kits v2 retain the same pre-filled, ready-to-use reagent cartridges as the v1 kits but offer improvements in data quality and allow various formats for low-output applications. 

This product is also available as an Illumina Advantage (TG) product. Illumina Advantage large-scale sequencing products feature lot-specific shipments and testing, extended shelf life, and advanced change notifications for greater laboratory efficiency.

MiSeq Reagent Kit v2 includes pre-filled, ready-to-use reagent cartridges for performing cluster generation and sequencing on the MiSeq System.

There are up to 15M reads per run.

MiSeq Reagent Kit v3 contains two additional reagents, the Incorporation Mix (IMT) and Scan Mix (USM), and the PR2 volume has been increased to 500ml to support longer runs. This ensures double the output of a single run using the v3 kits (3.3–15 Gb) compared to v2 kits (0.75–8.5 Gb).
