Learn how the HiSeq X Series delivers exceptional throughput and low cost for population-scale whole-genome sequencing.
View Specification SheetThe HiSeq X Ten and HiSeq X Five Systems leverage proven Illumina sequencing by synthesis (SBS) technology, the most widely adopted next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology in the industry. This chemistry ensures high data quality. SBS technology supports massively parallel sequencing using a proprietary fluorescently labeled reversible-terminator method.
The HiSeq X Series incorporates patterned flow cell technology to generate an exceptional level of throughput for whole-genome sequencing. Patterned flow cells contain billions of nanowells at fixed locations, a design that provides even spacing of sequencing clusters. This delivers significant increases in sequencing reads and total output of the system.
